How do I use character creation codes in Where Winds Meet?

In the character creator, select Import Customization Data at the bottom of the screen (V on a keyboard). For a QR card, select Add Image with QR Code and choose the saved picture. For a code that starts with ART, paste it into Enter Customization Code. Every face on this page has a download button for its card or a copy button for its code.

What is the difference between a QR card and an ART code?

A QR card is a picture the game makes when you share a face: the face, a QR code in the bottom-left corner and the line "1. Save the image 2. Import in the Customization page". An ART code is 19 letters and numbers that start with ART, typed or pasted into Enter Customization Code. Some cards hold an ART code in their QR code, so they work both ways, like Male face 3 here.

Can I change my face after creating my character?

Yes. Open the menu, go to Appearance and select the Appearance button at the bottom. Makeup is free to change. Changing the shape of the face uses a Water Lady Script, which the Jianghu Treasures shop sold for 200 Echo Jade before Version 2.3; we have not checked the price in 2.3.

Can I change my character's gender later?

Yes, with a Transformation Pill, which comes with a full new customization. It cost 1,280 Echo Beads in the shop before Version 2.3; we have not checked the price in 2.3.

Where can I find more faces in the game?

Open the Gallery from the top right of the character creator. It has Popular, Designer, Favorites and Mine tabs and a search by name or ID, with pages for full looks (Combination), Dye, Hairstyle, Photo, Team Page and Weapon.

Why will my face code not import?

Copy the code from this page rather than typing it: ARTaSIvxuW8qNMmDuAA has a capital I that looks like a small l. For a QR card, use the downloaded file and keep the QR code whole; a crop that cuts into it will not scan. We have not imported these faces in the game ourselves.

How we check them: each picture opens the full-size card as the game made it, with only the player's name strip cut off. We read the QR code on every card again after the cut, and each one still gives the same code as the original card. We have not imported these faces in the game ourselves.

We leave out faces made to look like a real person or a character from another game, and cards from the Chinese server, whose text is in Chinese. Every card here comes from the global server, in English. Female faces 14 and 15 have no picture yet: we have their codes, but not a clear look at the face each one makes.

How to use character creation codes

Open the character creator. On the Customization tab, Features holds Face Shape, Eyes, Nose, Lips and Ears; Makeup and Hairstyle sit below it.
Select Import Customization Data at the bottom left of the screen (V on a keyboard). On a controller, use the button the screen shows next to it.
For a QR card: select Add Image with QR Code and choose the card you downloaded. For an ART code: paste it into Enter Customization Code.
Select Preview (Space on a keyboard) to see the face with an outfit, pose and background before you select Complete.

QR card or ART code

QR card: the picture the game makes when a player shares a face. The face fills the card, the QR code sits in the bottom-left corner, and the game's own line reads “1. Save the image 2. Import in the Customization page”. Keep the whole QR code in the picture.
ART code: 19 letters and numbers starting with ART, for Enter Customization Code. Upper and lower case matter, so copy it instead of typing it.
Both: some cards hold an ART code in their QR code and say “Import your work on the customization page”. Male face 3 is one of them, so you can use its card or its code.

Change your face after you create your character

Open the menu, go to Appearance and select the Appearance button at the bottom of the screen.
Makeup is free to change, as often as you like.
