Where Winds Meet Bosses

Every Where Winds Meet boss in Version 2.2: the 23 Campaign Bosses and the quest that unlocks each, 26 World Bosses by region, Trials and what 2.3 adds.

Where Winds Meet bosses come in four kinds. Campaign Bosses come from story and region quests and can be fought again for rewards. World Bosses wait at fixed spots in the open world. Quest Bosses appear once inside a story. Trials replay bosses you have beaten, with extra tasks. Game8's list, updated September 18, 2026, counts 23 Campaign Bosses and 26 World Bosses. Version 2.3 adds a new World Boss, the Shuttlecock Champion, on October 15.

We compared Game8's boss list and its boss pages with the Fextralife wiki and Skycoach, and checked them against the official patch notes. Several bosses have been renamed since launch; where a guide uses an older name, we give it too.

Last checked: October 11, 2026 (Version 2.2).

How to find and fight bosses

  • World Bosses sit at fixed spots in the open world, and you start the fight by walking up to them. Since the official changes of January 12, 2026, the World Boss page of the Journal shows each one on the map. Some newer World Bosses only appear at set times, and the official Version 2.0 notes mention first-clear rewards.
  • Campaign Bosses are met in a quest first. After that they show up on your map as a Campaign Challenge, and each run costs 20 Energy to claim the rewards. Rewards get better as your level rises, and the gear sets they drop have changed between versions, so check the challenge screen in your game.
  • Trials replay bosses you have already beaten, with a list of tasks. The Fextralife wiki says they sit in the main menu under Wandering Paths, with a leaderboard, and that each World Boss can be beaten only once in your own world.
  • Mini-bosses, called Moderate Talents, guard outposts as the final enemy.
  • Help for hard fights: the Fextralife wiki notes Companion Assist and Assist signposts before many boss arenas, which bring in an NPC companion or other players.

Campaign Bosses

Each one unlocks when you finish the quest in the second column. The area comes from Game8's page for that boss.

Preparing for a boss

A boss fight tests the same basics as any fight: when to deflect, when to dodge, and how to break an enemy's Qi for an execution. Our combat guide explains them. For your weapons, start from your path's guide on the builds page.
