How to unlock the gauntlets
Heavenwill Gauntlets
- Join the Mohist Hill sect, or buy the martial art in the sect shop's Universal Love Shop for 100 sect Reputation. How to join each sect is in our sects guide.
- The partner weapon, the Skygrasp Rope Dart, comes from Hidden Mountain Main Chapter 2: Haven Astray.
Skystrike Gauntlets
- Defeat Jiu Qiansui in the Hidden Mountain Martial Fellowship and stay to hear his full story.
- The partner weapon, the Riven Twinblades, comes from the Qinghe Jianghu Legacy quest Echoes of Old Battles: finish it and hear Li Yangui recount the past. How they compare with the other dual blades is on our Infernal Twinblades page.
Getting a pair of gauntlets to equip
Unlocking the martial art teaches you the skills; the gauntlets you wear are gear, like any other weapon. Gauntlet gear drops from boss battles, outpost challenges, multiplayer trials and enemies. You can also choose it from selectable gear chests. The Season Shop sells gear chests for Jade Fish, where you pick an offensive set and can get gauntlets with that set's effect.
Heavenwill Gauntlets: how they play (Bamboocut - Kite)
Everything feeds one resource, Heaven's Will, and one big charged attack.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
| Righteous Reign (light attack) | Up to six hits; the sixth sends in Falcon's Pursuit, a falcon multi-hit that refills Heaven's Will |
| Virtuous Enthroned (heavy attack) | Up to four punches that lead back into the light combo |
| Wicked Defiance | A counter after a Perfect Dodge that refills Heaven's Will when it lands |
| Heavenwill Declared | A strike that changes with range; using it again triggers Celestial Mandate |
| Vile Condemned (charged skill) | Spends Heaven's Will for a falcon joint attack that marks the target |
| Vile Condemned: End | The upgraded charge at three bars of Heaven's Will: more damage, a bigger area, and you can't be hurt while it plays |
Why it rates S. The path is built around that one charged attack, and a charge that misses hands its resource back, so the damage still lands when a boss moves. It rates S in both PvE and PvP in Version 2.3.
Build in short.
- Rotation: open with the Skygrasp Rope Dart to control enemies and buff yourself, then switch to the gauntlets and build Heaven's Will for the charge.
- Stats: Precision and Critical Rate first, then Min and Max Physical Attack, then Agility and Max Bamboocut Attack. Our damage calculator shows which of the first three adds the most on your own stats.
- Gear: the Etherwrath weapon set stacks attack as you hit and fills its stacks on a Perfect Dodge; the Honorbound armor set cuts the damage you take for a moment after a Perfect Dodge.
Changed in Version 2.3 (October 15, 2026): Falcon's Pursuit skills deal 12% more base damage, with separate Arena changes to Tenacity and Qi damage.
Skystrike Gauntlets: how they play (Bamboocut - Draught)
The Skystrike Gauntlets and the Riven Twinblades deal the highest damage of any pair against a boss that stands still, but almost all of it lands in one drunken burst window of about ten seconds. If the boss moves or a mechanic starts in that window, much of the damage is lost, and the rotation asks for precise timing, a good connection and many weapon swaps.
- Ratings: S in PvE and A in PvP in Version 2.3; boss damage A and T0 in high-rank 1v1 in Version 2.2.
- In PvP it is the pair that suffers most from a laggy connection.
- Changed in Version 2.3 (October 15, 2026): the Riven Twinblades and Skystrike Gauntlets got resource, protection and combo adjustments, with different limits by mode.
Which gauntlets should you pick?
- Most players: the Heavenwill Gauntlets. S in PvE and PvP, simple to unlock through Mohist Hill, and forgiving when a boss moves.
- The Skystrike Gauntlets if you mostly fight bosses that hold still, want the highest burst in the game and play on a stable connection.
Every path side by side is in the build tier list, and every weapon with its partner in the weapons database.
