Where Winds Meet Dual Blades Build

Where Winds Meet Dual Blades build for Version 2.2: the Inner Ways current Bamboocut - Wind builds share, stat targets, gear sets and tier list ratings.

"Dual Blades" is what most players call the Bamboocut - Wind martial path: the Infernal Twinblades paired with the Mortal Rope Dart. This page compares the builds published for it and shows where they disagree. We have not tested these setups in the game ourselves; each source is named with its date.

Last checked: October 7, 2026. Versions 2.1 and 2.2 made no changes to this path, so the most recent official changes are still the Version 2.0 ones from July 23, 2026. We found no English video made after 2.2 that shows a Wind build's Inner Way, stat or gear screens, so the build details below come from guide sites and one player's video description.

OnKamiiSeptember 19, 2026 (Version 2.2, global server)High-rank 1v1 ArenaT0, the second-strongest pair (said in the video; the top row of his board is cropped)

NPC Waifu rates its boss damage below the Heng Blade and Gauntlets builds, says fewer players run it now and doesn't expect a buff soon. OnKamii's reasons for ranking it so high in PvP: you take less Qi damage when your attacks are parried during Rodent Rampage (an official Version 2.0 change), the rope dart's passive damage is high, and its rage mode can be kept going. So if you mostly play PvE, the tier lists favor other paths; in 1v1 PvP, this is one of the strongest pairs. Every path side by side: Build Tier List and PvP Tier List.

Inner Ways

You equip four Inner Ways. This is what each build uses:

Inner WaySnipzyte (video description, September 20)Game8 (September 3)Winds Meet Guide (July 13)MetaBattle (January 2026)
Echoes of OblivionListedMain pick, level firstMain pick, level firstMain pick, called the most important
VendettaListedMain pick, level firstMain pickMain pick

Breaking PointListedAlternativeMain pickMain pick
Vital LeechNot listedMain pickNot listedNot listed
  • The fourth slot is the main disagreement. Game8 uses Vital Leech and swaps in Breaking Point when you burst down Exhausted targets, ideally at Tier 6. The other three builds use Breaking Point. Game8 also lists Fivefold Bleed and Riptide Reflex as situational picks.
  • Echoes of Oblivion got stronger on July 23. Since Version 2.0, the effects it triggers with light attacks also ignore 10% of the target's Physical Defense and 10 points of Bamboocut Resistance.
  • A mechanics page updated after 2.2, the Where Winds Meet Handbook (September 30), names the same core trio of Echoes of Oblivion, Vendetta and Breaking Point, though it does not recommend a full build.
  • Winds Meet Guide was checked on July 13, before the Version 2.0 balance patch, and the MetaBattle page was last edited in January 2026, so treat their details as older than Game8's.

Stats

Rate targets and priorities. The sources rank stats differently:

  • Game8 (September 3): Precision Rate about 98% to 100% first. Then Critical Rate about 65% to 70% with the Hawkwing set, or 70% to 73% with Swallowcall, not counting temporary combat buffs. Affinity Rate 16% to 20% with Hawkwing, kept low with Swallowcall, and enough Agility for the talent requirements in your Martial Arts panel. After that: Max Physical Attack, Power, Min Physical Attack, Agility and Bamboocut damage.
  • Snipzyte's video description (September 20): Precision Rate 100%, Critical Rate 76%, Affinity Rate 10%.
  • Winds Meet Guide (July 13): Affinity Rate, Momentum, Physical Attack, Bamboocut Attack and Critical Rate, with a warning not to copy an older 70% Critical target.
  • MetaBattle (January 2026): Power first, then Affinity Rate, Bamboocut Attack, Max and Min Physical Attack, Critical Rate, Physical Penetration and weapon or skill damage boosts.

So each guide site puts a different stat first: Precision (Game8), Affinity (Winds Meet Guide) or Power (MetaBattle). The two sources that give a Precision target both aim for about 100%.

Penetration and Rodent damage. Game8 puts Physical Penetration on both weapons, the disc and the pendant, and a Mortal Rope Dart Rodent damage boost on all four armor pieces. Snipzyte's description points the same way: 24% Rodent DMG Boost and 49.1 Physical Penetration in total, plus one Art of Ropedart, one Art of Dual Blade, one All Martial Arts boost and two boss damage boosts.

Where the damage comes from. In Snipzyte's 60-second dummy test (September 20, Sword Trial Boss at level 96: 4,213K damage, about 70,230 per second), Rodent Rampage dealt 40.1% of the damage, Blade of Heaven's Wrath 31.2% and Rodent Hunt 12.0%.

Gear sets

The sources fall into two camps:

SourceWeapons and accessoriesArmor
Game8, PvE (September 3)HawkwingEaglerise
Game8, alternative and PvPSwallowcallCalmwaters
Winds Meet Guide (July 13)SwallowcallCalmwaters
MetaBattle (January 2026)SwallowcallCalmwaters

Game8 calls Swallowcall the simpler choice for everyday content and PvP, and says the armor set matters little for damage, so good stat rolls come before completing it. MetaBattle notes that its gear section is still being worked on. We have not seen these sets in a recent in-game screen.

Mystic Arts

  • Dragon's Breath, Drunken Poet and Dragon Head appear in both Game8 and MetaBattle. Game8 recommends all three for PvE. MetaBattle mentions Dragon's Breath with Drunken Poet, and offers Dragon Head as a swap for Flaming Meteor.
  • Game8's fourth PvE pick is Flute of the Tides. For PvP it lists Serene Breeze, Talon Strike, Guardian Palm and Ghostly Steps.
  • MetaBattle also mentions Ghost Bind, Wolflike Frenzy, Free Morph and Flaming Meteor.

Official changes since July 2026

The Version 2.0 patch of July 23, 2026 changed this path in five ways. Versions 2.1 and 2.2 changed nothing for it.

  • Infernal Twinblades light attacks and Blade of Heaven's Wrath chain more smoothly at high latency in online boss fights.
  • Perfect Dodge Enhancement (Infernal Twinblades talent): buffs gained from Perfect Dodges now last 40% longer instead of 20% longer.
  • Rodent Damage Enhancement (Mortal Rope Dart talent): now +9% Physical and Bamboocut damage, plus up to 12% more based on Min Physical Attack. It used to be +9% Physical damage plus up to 15%.
  • Bonus Attack Up (Mortal Rope Dart talent): Rodent Rampage's attack scaling now rises with your Martial Arts Breakthrough level.
  • Echoes of Oblivion: effects triggered by light attacks also ignore 10% Physical Defense and 10 Bamboocut Resistance.

In the Arena, the same patch:

  • limited the light-attack count the Infernal Twinblades store when you dodge to 3 seconds (it used to be kept indefinitely), clearing it when you switch weapons;
  • cut the number of times Addled Mind can be parried in a row from 6 to 3;
  • reduced the Qi damage you take when your attacks are parried during Rodent Rampage by 30%, with both weapons equipped;
  • made Bladebound Thread's second-stage kicks faster, with a final kick that knocks players back;
  • delayed the Tenacity from Rodent's Resilience to 0.5 seconds after you start charging.
