To get the Panacea Fan by Skill Theft, sneak into the Silver Needle Sanctum in Qinghe and steal the art from the Sect Master. The sanctum sits on the northeast side of central Qinghe. A Dragon Key opens its hidden passage, two guarded areas follow, and the Sect Master waits at the end. You can also take the fan as Qi Sheng's reward for your first Oddity, or by joining the Silver Needle sect.
Last checked: October 25, 2026, for Version 2.3. The place and the three ways to get the fan come from two guide sites and the Fextralife wiki, which agree, plus the reward screen in a player's video. The stealth route is the one guide sites describe; we have not walked it in the game ourselves. Steps that only one source mentions are marked as such.
Three ways to get the Panacea Fan
| Way | What you do | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Skill Theft | Sneak into the Silver Needle Sanctum in Qinghe and steal the art from the Sect Master | One Dragon Key |
| Qi Sheng's reward | Hand your first Oddity to Qi Sheng and pick the Panacea Fan from four martial arts | Uses up that pick |
| Silver Needle sect | Join the sect and meet its requirements | Ties you to the sect |
Qi Sheng's four choices are the Panacea Fan, the Thundercry Blade, the Infernal Twinblades and the Vernal Umbrella; the reward screen in DPJ's beginner video shows them side by side. Two guide sites advise taking one of the other three there, because the sanctum is open to you soon after and Skill Theft gets you the fan anyway.
In the game, open Develop → Martial Arts, select the Panacea Fan and press Obtain: the Fextralife wiki says the game then lists the ways to unlock it and opens the map at the spot.
What Skill Theft is
Skill Theft lets you learn a sect's martial art without joining the sect. Many weapons have a sanctum where a master trains; you get in unseen, reach the master and steal the technique. Our sects guide explains what joining a sect adds, and the weapons database lists how every weapon martial art is unlocked.
Before you go
- A Dragon Key. The Silver Needle Sanctum opens through a hidden passage at a Loong Dragon Pillar, and the key is used up when you open it. Two guide sites and the ONgame video agree that the route starts there. One guide site says the first keys are rewards for your first World Level Breakthrough challenge and for first clears of some Outposts.
- Touch of Death (one source). One guide site says stealing from a master needs the Mystic Art Touch of Death, so you can take out some of the guards; it comes from the side story The Realm Endures.
- Echoes of Old Battles (one source). The ONgame walkthrough lists this Jianghu Legacy quest as a requirement.
Panacea Fan Skill Theft walkthrough
This is the route the guide sites give, in the order you meet the guards. Wait for each guard to face away before you move.
- Open the passage. Go to the Silver Needle Sanctum on the northeast side of central Qinghe, use your Dragon Key on the Loong Dragon Pillar and go down the hidden passage.
- First area: the left wall. The first militiaman in view will turn to the right; cross while he looks away, then keep to the left wall so the next militiaman walking toward you does not see you.
- Over the bridge. Get up on the bridge, then leap to the stone ledge to your left. It sits between the guard patrolling on your left and the two guards at the door.
- Through the door. When both door guards look away, run straight in. That is the second area.
- Second area: the wooden bridge. Let the nearby militiaman walk across the wooden bridge first.
- Down the ladder. Watch the militiaman on the floor below. Once he heads off to the right, drop down, use the ladder straight ahead and go right. The Sect Master is there.
- Steal the art. Use Skill Theft on the Sect Master. The Panacea Fan is now yours.
- Leave. Either let yourself be caught, which also takes you out of the sanctum, or climb back down and take the path that starts at the foot of that ladder. Slip past the last scout the same way: close to the wall, then a quick run.
The ONgame video splits the route the same way: the hidden passage, a first checkpoint, then the theft itself at 3:28.
How to use the Panacea Fan
The Panacea Fan is a healing weapon. It heals your group, can bring fallen allies back and adds team damage buffs, but deals little damage itself, so it is built for group play. Its resource is Dew: some skills build it, the Dewdrops shown over the weapon icon at the bottom right of the screen track how much you hold, and your healing skills spend it.
It forms the healing path Silkbind - Deluge with the Soulshade Umbrella. The umbrella stays out for passive healing and Dew, and the fan gives the direct heals. Our healer build guide compares the published healer builds: their Inner Ways, stat priorities and gear sets.
